I like their logic: companies are producing too much and selling them at lower prices, which is bad because it can hurt investment in increasing production, i.e. increasing production is bad because increasing production is good.

Also more bond demand and cheaper lending is bad because investor confidence in Chinese bonds means no confidence in Chinese stocks. At the same time when stocks go up at expense of bonds like in Europe its a debt crisis.

Regarding Syria… Chinese should stop playing up Uighur ISIS as a threat. What can they do more than anyone with a car do running over people. Those crates of weapons… who says they’re under Uighur terrorist control? It’s a picture that anyone in the West could post as propaganda paid for by the US. I saw one caption saying they were long range missiles. The size of a MANPAD…? I doubt it. Like factions over there can’t use them? Why would they just hand them over to Uighur for a futile cause? That “former” terrorist now in control of Syria wants to create a real government. So he’s going risk real aid to just to get Westerners to cough up pocket change for him so he can be a Western lackey? It’s the West in a panic worried over which side the government will be on.
Even if they are long range missles, how will they get them across the Syrian border, let along other country's borders.

Don't know if this has been posted here yet, but found a poll conducted by AsiaSociety of global opinions on China.

Pattern follows most other polls of such nature, with China being seen positively in the global south and negatively amongst the US and its allies. A few notes.

  1. China's favorability took somewhat of a hit in Latin America due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but favorability still remains high in the region, especially in Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, and Cuba. Surprisingly the two countries with a negative view of China in the region are Panama and Uruguay, don't know why.
  2. It seems that despite the close relations, in most polls Iranians and time and time again have polled to be fairly negative on China. I guess its a reflection of the fact that most of the youth are still quite liberal and Western leaning, and negatively correlate China with support for its government.
  3. The very positive reactions to China, barring the Philippines, in Southeast Asia should lay to rest any narrative that China is so called "isolated" in its own neighborhood. Even Vietnam registered a positive opinion of China this time around. Really, an Anglo-Vietnamese alliance was always a fantasy lived by neckbeard geopolitical analysts. Yes Vietnam and China have had rough relations in the past, but in the end both are fellow neighbors and developing countries, so they have to deal with eachother in some way. China's also been making cultural inroads thanks to TikTok, dramas, and gacha games.
  4. Country with the lowest opinion of China in the world is Japan. That's fine, feeling's mutual, especially moreso from someone like me who never was all that interested in Japanese culture to begin with. And they'll get what's coming to them eventually.
Given that the Asia society is a western influenced think tank, their questions will undoubtedly be biased.

Which makes China's status impressive. Needs to be done as well

I mean something doesn't track as the guy is on his way to ally with Russia while supposedly according to western twitter he is supposed to make it his first priority to attack Russia/Russia's allies.

I'm supposed to believe some undated video of a person looking at yassin 105 equivalents crates saying they will be used to attack China when said country has, out of all countries in the world, only accepted bases from China's allies? Doesn't make sense.

In any case the whole Syrian government needs to get through SDF and Rojava first and maybe the Golan heights before it can look outwards.

Yes it’s Western propaganda. They’re the ones peeing in their skirts wondering which side the new government is going to land. Everyone smells another potential ISIS forming. So do you think the US or Israel aren’t going to destroy those “missiles” if they have the chance or are they so confident they be used against China? Which countries are going to let Uighurs transport them through their countries to smuggle them into China to kill Chinese? The US wants that to happen but they aren’t going help conduct that operation. Remember, the CIA trained and equipped like over ten thousand Tibetans to be insurgents against China back during the Cold War. The US sent them in and literally not one of them was ever heard from again. It was one of the CIA’s greatest failures. Look at how all the US’s supposed spies in China all went silent around the same time. They won’t say it but China has a greater counter intelligence program than the US has or else how could all of the US’s assets go dark like that.

China itself is safe. It's the BRI that needs protection. It's probably just a matter of time before China starts to deploy armed forces overseas.

That’s America’s grand plan, and is actually a copy&paste of their past actions in Xinjiang.

The basic idea is that guys in trench-coats with suitcases of dollars pays tribal leaders to organise attacks on key infrastructure like pipelines, electricity lines and roads etc. Local police are too weak and corrupt to do anything about it, so central police forces are deployed.

Then when the inevitable deadly clashes occur, paid and bought preachers will spin it as the central police force are here to genocide the locals and before long you have a full blow ethnic-religious holy war with the locals. Only this time it won’t be central police, but foreign military, making the massage even easier to sell.

The plan is to get China sucked into its own War On Terror in the ME to waste China’s time, blood and treasure.

Fortunately, China has learnt extensively from Xinjiang, and has a lot more experience in how to deal with such plays now.

The basic solution is to not play into America’s hopes and don’t deploy the PLA officially. Instead, China will work with local law enforcement and military forces to strengthen them and support them to deal with the local and foreign imported jihadists.

Pakistan would be a good example, where the bulk of the protection is done by locals. This also means that locals end up taking the brunt of attacks and deaths from the jihadists and attackers. That builds local resistance to their cause and message. Best case the locals proactively fight and eradicate the foreign jihadists for you. Worst case the locals don’t get involved themselves or give the jihadists any support or assistance, thereby limiting the damage they can do.

Result will be slow, and are achieved eventually after sufficient pressure and support. So while it won’t be as immediately satisfying as PLA helicopters going all Ride of the Valkyries on some jihadist village, the results will be far less death and destruction on all sides, and China being able to keep its focus on dealing the the true source of the evil.

The US mass hysteria over their East Coast "mystery drones" is escalating. An airport had been temporarily shutdown over this.

Why do these drones only appear at night? Why do they have navigation and landing lights? Why are they usually near airports? Maybe they're just aircrafts?

Trump's suggestion: maybe shoot them down.

“Mystery Drone sightings all over the Country,” Trump

on Truth Social. “Can this really be happening without our government’s knowledge. I don’t think so! Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shoot them down!!!”

This kinda feels like that Chinese Balloon Hysteria last year. Only this time, the consequences for stupidity + itchy trigger fingers could be catastrophic. Or maybe this is just US media spinning some story to distract the American public. To distract them from what exactly?

Man seeing what LKY said openly without fear and how the modern leaders of Singapore turned out makes me mad.

Guess he was from a tough era and the newer ones don't know that toughness.
LKY like most if not all Asian elites sent their kids to western institutions to study, not realising they had merely turned their kids into modern day janissaries for the Anglo atlanticists.
