China should help Russia and Iran to create their own internet cyberspace with the countries having full control of it. Then help other middle east countries.

Thats the only way to solve the western propaganda problem

And on another note, why does the studio seems to be airing a kids show with all these contrasting colours..

Iranians in Iran do not necessarily wear religious clothing. Many in the city wear "western" styled clothing just like Chinese or Indonesian. I put quotation mark around western because the dressing style has become a global causal dress, not western specific anymore. Pretty much like the Chinese national dress (Mao dress) is based on western military uniform in the 1900s. You can also see what the former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadi Nejad wear everyday.

I have close contacts with Iranians, one served the Iran/Iraqi war and one was daughter of a general of the former Shah. They are not fan of the current Iranian government, but they have serious doubt of the westerners' motivation towards the Islamic Republic.

People and their mind are far from black and white.

I’m not saying they wear burkas. But as soon as they leave Iran, many would start wearing tight yoga pants, short shorts, etc etc.. clothing they would never be considered appropriate in Iran.

I also observed this during the Iran China trade deal early announcement last year. Why is the Iranian diaspora (I assume) reaction to the deal is so much cringe?

Who does the Indian drone swarm demo use crappy cardboard boxes for designated targets? It's a cultural thing.

Too many topics to cover fully, but one thing that particularly struck me was one of the guests was saying it didn't matter how many carriers the US send to the straits, they'll all be sunk.

I remember only a few years ago, we were debating on this very forum the combat effectiveness of China's ASBM. At the time, all the pro-US posters were claiming the DF-21 was untested, and there were many ways for carriers to evade the missiles.

Fast forward to 2021. China's carrier killing capability is now taken for granted. It's no longer a question of if the US would intervene, it's not even a question of whether the US can win, it's simply a fact that the US is no longer capable of defending Taiwan from the Mainland.

As the commentator put it, everything is ready for armed reunification. The only thing Beijing is waiting for is an opportunity. DPP just needs to make one wrong move, and it will be all over for them.

I am reminded of the last time Taiwan was "forcefully reunified", that is under Emperor Kangxi of the Qing dynasty. Taiwan was then held by the Zheng family, a remnant of the Ming Dynasty. A succession struggle resulted in the second son of Zheng Jin killing his older brother the prince heir to gain the throne. This resulted in a divided island as most of the common people supported the prince heir.

The Qing fleet, under the command of Admiral Shi Lang, defeated the Taiwan fleet in battle. The newly crowned King quickly surrendered to the Qing, and thus ended Ming's last remaining bastion.
