Unlikely there was any fixed prices discussed and no need be gullible and entertain speculative tweets. The agreement is a framework and unlikely to touch upon the finer details. 25 years is a long time to commit after one meeting.

Already gullible people falls into believing manipulative idiotic tweets when details are not yet finalized.

Sure discount are to be expected in such a large long term deal and Iran has a weak hand in current buyer market environment.
There is probably a complex formula to determine the price of the oil to be sold to China.

Also now this "virgin" Iranian market is open to business only for Chinese companies. The EU must be feeling very stupid now...

That's exactly how the West wages propaganda war on social media.

China needs to work with Russia, Iran, Pakistan, and even North Korea to create an open source and independently moderated social media framework.

So here is the dots. He is probably an "Iranian" descent who lives in one of the most anti-Iran western country. He would hate modern Iran more than any westerners just like FLGs hate China more than Trump. In fact he is a Swedish citizen, NOT an Iranian.

Now, what is his source of "Iran reluctance, disgraced oil price"? A Turkish named Yörük Işık.

So you believe in a second hand "information" from a Iran hatter through a Turkish? And how did the Turk get that information. BTW, why the xxxx should Iran share the detail of the deal with a Turk? Or anybody for that matter? Did Trump publish details of the phase I deal with China?

This Iran hatter also commented:
NITC (National Iranian Tanker Company) mariners that get in touch with me really don’t like the idea that Iran ships out oil to Syria, or that they have to ship discounted oil to China. They don’t trust/like China (Iranians trust Apple over Huawei), but it’s all they have now.

So this Swedish person somehow knows that the National Iranian company does not like their job to work with Syria nor China. It sounds like this is not a Iranian company but a Swedish company.

Come on, show some common sense. Your source is really like conspiracy theorists or downright CIA psychological warfare.

I will just add that making this deal with Iran is also a punch to the gut at India. Now in India's periphery it is surrounded by China friendly countries.

I guess that this deal will constrain India from going full throttle on the Quad. So India will not go full China containment, and its surrounding countries will not go full India containment.

A delicate balance

The Iranians worship the west just like many Asian people. When they travel to the west, they would put on western styled clothing as soon as the plane left Iranian airspace.
It is some, not all Iranians abroad worship the west, just like many Chinese abroad don't worship west.

Iranians in Iran do not necessarily wear religious clothing. Many in the city wear "western" styled clothing just like Chinese or Indonesian. I put quotation mark around western because the dressing style has become a global causal dress, not western specific anymore. Pretty much like the Chinese national dress (Mao dress) is based on western military uniform in the 1900s. You can also see what the former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadi Nejad wear everyday.

I have close contacts with Iranians, one served the Iran/Iraqi war and one was daughter of a general of the former Shah. They are not fan of the current Iranian government, but they have serious doubt of the westerners' motivation towards the Islamic Republic.

People and their mind are far from black and white.
