Apparently this ear and squat thing is an Indian gesture of submission. Difficult to say whether the Indians did it as a sign of submission by themselves or they were asked to assume the position by PLA soldiers who I doubt would know this. Maybe higher ups commanded the soldiers to issue the order for photos.

Like Chinese leaks mentioned in the past, a lot of visual material held back in 2020 to save India from humiliation. The Indian defeats were absolute. Even now, only a fraction of held material and evidence is even leaked and that's just in response to India's bullshit claim of capturing 200 PLA in Tawang which they have themselves quickly refuted and admitted was Indian media lying even though we all know Indian media would only have been given that "information" from the Indian gov along with the go ahead. Modi seems like a pathetically bad statesmen. Basically school playground level tactician and depth of strategising. I think China is actually somewhat lucky they are playing against Modi lol... it's like a 2000 rated chess player against a 500 rated (with Ghandi and others maybe being 1000). India's depth of planning, strategising, and overall depth of understanding/ comprehension of everything is many levels below even modern western ones (which is already bad).

A woman version of kneeling with hands straight up, a form of punishment for unruly school kids. Another version would be doing squats with left hand touching right ears and right hand touching left ears. It's mostly for humiliation, not a corporal punishment.

My, last photo shows lots of retreating Indian soldiers actually carrying rifles.
were they issued bullets too?
if yes, must salute their restraint and discipline not to have used their firearms, while condemning their officers for allowing the soldiers to carry them to a confrontation.
cannot imagine the horror if shots were fired in anger.

Until Galwan happened Chinese soldiers were not allowed to carry bullets.

Must be some not so subtle digs at India, who were quite brazen with publishing news about joint training operations with the US.
