Just compare with how China portrayed Korean War PVA solders. There was always a tragic angle to the Chinese portrayal. Wouldn't it have been better if China was an industrialized country and could provide proper winter gear and turkey dinner for the Chinese soldiers back then? China didn't consider it unmanly or weak for the UN forces to be properly supplied. Whereas the Bhakts think that it is unmanly unless you roll around naked in the snow and get frostbites on your nether region.
If anything, it's a poor reflection of the indian mentality; rather than knuckling down and working hard, they do what they've been observed to do in the West: bitch and moan and pull a Karen until someone gives them what they want out of exasperation.
Too bad, the Himalayan frost and the PLA don't give a shit about Indian karens and their karen counterparts in the indian press.
