Are there plans to replace old engines with new generation like ws-10 or something?

Unlikely. That would necessitate a redesign of the fuselage as the dimensions of the existing engines likely differ significantly from those of WS-10. Too much work for an old workhorse when its successors are already in service and being produced in increasingly larger quantities.

There is a classical elegance to JH-7, and there are not many fighters with similar design cues that are still maintained in good operating order. Russian Su-24s and MiG-31s, German/Italian/Saudi Tornados, Indian Jaguars...
