These aren't "news" channels. They're just youtubers repeating stuff they read on the internet.
The PAF does not discuss 'winning' training exercises in public. It's considered bad form and unprofessional behavior. Whoever started this rumor, it was probably a civilian. Whatever the parameters were during this exercise, I'm sure all friendly forces learned lessons and increased interoperability. That's the only point of these things.
As for dealing with Rafales in actual combat, where the hell is the Block III ?
On the other forum one Chinese member posted with relevant links that the rumour was first reported by a Taiwanese source from there picked by Chinese social media and less credible websites and defence forums.

no sound JF17 Block III will be pitted against the Rafale for the simple reason that JF17 Block III ASEA will be a very powerful combination and with datalink to the AWACS no more advantage of F16 C/D exists

News from CAC claims that the JF-17 has test flown with a new engine.
They didn't say. Literally said "certain type of new engine".
