Guys ... if you want to discuss Argentina AF issues, then please in the dedicated thread, but politics, budget and if , when a J-7 was offered without success is irrelevant to the JF-17.

The article says that China is offering a package to Argentina where each FC-1 with 4 AA missiles (2 IR, 2 Radar) costs $50 million.
The offer is for 10 single seat and 2 dual seat Block 3 aircraft with option of either RD-93 or RD-93MA engine.
It is supposedly competing with second hand F/A-18 C/Ds and new MiG-35s.

Guys ... final try in a kind manner! Discussion on Russian MiG-29 and other options for Argentina is IRRELEVANT and off topic. If you want to discuss this please do it in another thread.

$50m per plane is pretty expensive, especially if the arms package is so punny as well.

I am guessing that also includes all the support infrastructure set up and training costs split between the 10 airframes, which will massively jack up the unit price. But the good news with that is subsequent orders should have a significantly lower per unit cost. That is the true unit cost I am much more interested in knowing.

Any details on how much Nigeria is paying for their second batch JF17s?

I do think that Nigeria bought block-2s,I wonder how much does a standard blk3 cost for PAF?

Yes, but knowing the second batch unit prices will allow us to do a percentage analysis to see what percentage of the initial batch unit price is likely to be for initial set up and support packages.

The problem is,There’s a possibility that
1.Nigeria didn’t buy much support packages in 1st batch
2.they could have bought them in the second batch
Countries like Nigeria and Thailand, they always buy a few something just to get a taste, even with a second batch ,they wouldn’t go for the whole package(like a engine repairing facility),and it will still remain a lot of “service”in the deal.
Meanwhile PAF does have the whole package except these imported parts and airframes from China,so the cost in PAF should be closer to it’s original price

I have heard words that at a Turkish exercise, Pakistan Air Force JF-17 dominated Qatar Air Force Rafale. More specifically a less credible source said a simulated air battle were had between six JF-17 and four Rafale and JF-17 were able to down all four Rafale for loss of two JF-17.

Still trying to find some official words on this.
