Well this certainly welcome news. Azerbaijan and Egypt will give the JF-17 Program a great deal of boost in marketing the aircraft further. Egypt's fighter fleet set up, resembles more and more like what India

Saudis also financed Egypt's purchase of Mistral Helicopter Carriers and Rafales.

No agenda. It is just that it is a widely known secret that the Saudis have DF-21 missiles and the warheads are stored in Pakistan. It is also said that the Saudis helped fund the Pakistanese nuclear weapons program in the first place. So it does not stretch belief if they supported the JF-17 acquisition by Egypt like they did with the Mistrals. Egypt has not exactly been swimming in money lately and there are rumours that the Saudis want them to fight in Yemen too.

Actually I think the LCA has been a protracted program and has produced subpar results. Like other projects in India's procurement. This is the problem with today's SJW attitude. We cannot even call things by their names and people get offended easily. It stifles discussion for no good reason at all. The DF-21 Saudi missile purchase is documented fact. The other things I said are also quite strongly based rumours. Supposedly the Saudis got the missiles first as insurance against Iraq's missile stockpiles and later Iran. But we digress.

It is certainly welcome that the JF-17 has had more exports. It has a lot of further export potential especially for countries which want to safeguard their airspace. There had already been orders for Nigeria and Myanmar. So once you add Egypt and Azerbaijan that increases the tally significantly. Sales to an ex-Soviet Republic like Azerbaijan might also open up further sales to other countries in the region which traditionally bought Russian hardware.

Guys the analysis from all sides is appreciated, however we are missing the point here and that is not to deviate from the subject being discussed, JF-17 Thunders. We could've had this discussion Saudi links to nukes stored in Pakistan, in the Pakistan Military thread. Please stick the thread title where applicable.
