It will be a good replacement for the hordes of J-7 jets that the PLAAF uses. Once PLAAF starts retiring the J-7, FC-1 can fill in its shoes.

do you guys think PLAAF would buy FC-1 ? perhaps block 3 ?

No... PLAAF already has J-10. Why shall they go for FC-1?
I would not write off FC-1 so quickly, although today's Plaaf is in much better shape than a decade ago, it has a huge country to dedend, and being a still poor developing nation, China has to prioritize, thus has to remain tight-handed on military hardwares. This is why for a long time to go, quite some vintage eqipments will continue in service, for example, although J-7 will gradually be relieved of first-line-of-duty deployment, it's a safe bet they will not get decommissioned soon. Besides, Chinese people are famous for their frugality.jf-17/fc-1 too outdated for plaaf.when you have j-11, j-10 and j-20 why do you need a crap like jf-17. china is the next superpower. so their airforce should pack a punch. jf-17 is mig-33 based fighter, an eighties design so no need for jf-17/fc-1
