I love the large display panels! Is this the first image of the JF-17 cockpit?

This could be true if Pakistan buys engines only for PAF , but foreign customers would not like that . Would you buy an aircraft if you need to get spare parts from second or third hand ?
When purchasing warplanes small country needs to consider political implications . It won't do much good if in case of crisis your supplier decides it will not service your aircraft . Potential buyer of JF-17 would have to be in good terms with Pakistan , China and Russia .

Thanks Thunderchief,I was having difficulty verbalizing my thoughts earlier in the postings.

I just wanted to make the point about potential customers having less concern about purchasing the aircraft if they don’t have to rely on a “third party” for their engine components. The production of the WS-13 will eliminate a potential problem with spare parts and extra engines. If Pakistan where to produce the WS-13 they could to be almost in complete control of the aircraft (in regards to parts and service).

LOL! Good one. Well many we will see sales of the JF-17 once they get into a dogfight (real one not training) with a 4 or 4+ aircraft and win.

Not to get OT but the only real possiblity of PAF ever going into combat would be with the IAF so it'll depend on what type they go up against. If Tejas I'm pretty sure the JF-17 can hold their own, MiG 29 not sure.. Rafales then probably not. Of course this is assuming equal parity in other aspects which in reality would not be the case since not all pilots are made equal and we're not even taking into consideration C4ISR, AWACS, ground support and the weapons type etc.

Are you talking JF-17 block 1 or block 2?
