Definitely our economy is in the shitter. Glad to see the JF-17 program will not suffer.

I think that the true indicator of the JF-17's worthiness will be the number of units that PLAAF finally plans to acquire. If it does not acquire any, then the FC-1 could even lose in future export markets.

I don't know how many missions did the JF-17 flew in PLAAF, but in Pakistan's side, from the statement of the prime minister it flew combat 500 missions.

Anyway, do anybody here have an answer about the current situation in PLAAF? Do they plan to mass produce this aircraft?

There have been no indication so far that PLAAF will buy them or not. But I disagree that it will affect JF-17's sales. It was always intended to be an export item, and it has already attracted 3 foriegn customers and a dozen more have expressed interested.

Even SU-30 in its native country RUSSIA, has only nine air crafts. But we can see, it is successful in exports. It doesn't matter how many you operates, its the capability of the aircraft that shows it worthiness.

Deino, Zimbabwe has already paid $200million USD for 12 JF-17 yet to be delivered.

Other potential customers are Azerbaijan and Sudan.

Zimbabwe, Azerbaijan and Sudan.

Thank You both ... and all are confirmed ??

That would make alltogether:

250 for Pakistan
12 for Zimbabwe
?? for Azerbaijan and
?? for Sudan

If you think Russians are paranoid about the J-11s right now, wait until FC-1s start showing up in Venezuela.
