Yes, loved Black Lagoon. Note how the Taiwanese lady Shenhua, the one with the flying daggers, called Reby, the main heroine with the gutter mouth, short shorts and twin Desert Eagles, "Twinkie" while Reby calls Shenhua "Chinglish" for her bad English accents. Twinkie is in reference to Chinese Americans, "yellow outside, white inside". I also like the El Mariachi references, like gatling guns inside guitar cases.

yep
cowboy bebop, doraemon, death note
lil bits of gundam
i remember in seed or in destiny, there are quiet a few references to modern equipment
one of them is like an AWACS (with the large radome), and another being a guard wearing a pasgt helmet

A fan of Seinen myself, Black Lagoon was an excellent series and hope to see the third season soon, Ghost in the Shell has also been quite a successful franchise and also hope to see a third season of that too.

But honestly i'm curious if anyone's been into more obscure titles like Lain, Boogiepop Phantom and Paranoia Agent.

I watch tons of anime and read a ton of manga. Faaaaaaaar too long to list, of course with exams I had to put them all aside but you get the idea.

another interesting thing will be
how while we're discussing serious issues like military, on the other hand we all have the appetites for animes and the "soft" stuff
kinda funny opposite

:eek:ff Not only that,
We all drool over the latest weapons of war, and speculate on how efficient they may be in killing, yet most are against the use of force in Somalia, and look how quick people to call for a ceasefire in the Georgian/Russian conflict?
