Kaga's bow flight deck removed. They're surely moving along with deck enlargement now -

I really can't imagine. Does this modification really make sense? It is estimated that this aircraft carrier can only carry 8 F-35B.
The political significance of this modified aircraft carrier is greater than its military value.

The Japanese have created many art drawings to imagine the transformation plan of 22/24DDH,their reference is the aircraft carrier "Cavour".

We don't know whether the future will be transformed as shown in the picture. Maybe it's not necessary.

But anyway, I have expected that the Japanese will create a lot of art works on how to defeat 003 with this aircraft carrier.

AFAIK that ski-jump concept was never considered by the JMSDF. It was from the manga "Kuubo Ibuki" which depicted a fictional modified Izumo DDH-turned-CV -

... Which was later adapted into a live-action film -

Hence its seeming popularity with the military/hobbyist circles in Japan.

I have read this comic. You can hardly imagine how much the Japanese expect from the F-35B.In the story, the Japanese describe the F-35B as an omnipotent and invincible fighter.

I have to say that this design misleads public opinion deeply, but the aircraft carrier Cavour is indeed a good reference object.
At present, public opinion is still circulating rumors that the Japanese aircraft carrier will be modified according to this design.

When I saw this news, I was puzzled that the current modification design cost less and there was no need to make things so complicated.
Next, I think they will directly design new aircraft carriers, rather than continue to carry out complex modifications.

Japanese military art creation is often bold and radical, this cartoon is actually quite "conservative".
