Was this posted here before? I don't think so.
America-Japan security alliance ‘a problem’ in talks over Kurils, says Russian foreign minister

This is a more political based post rather than "Japan military news, reports, data, etc."

It should have been deleted too since a rebuttal to it has no choice but to be political. Not beinh able to make a rebuttal leaves an air of Pro-PRC being able to set the tone of the thread. But Pro-PRC forums so しょうがない. So then no point in contributing to a troll nest.

In October, during exercise Kamandag 3, the marines from the Philippines, the US, and Japan conducted joint-training in amphibious operations.

Hi Bub, give mods some credit, they try very hard to keep this forum "fair and square", they are few and all have full time jobs, but they each one are doing their best. Welcome aboard, feel free to pm me, I lived on Naha AB when I was a kid.

The article is part of military news. It's not off topic or pro PRC by any stretch of the imagination. Hijiki should explain why it is pro-PRC when it clearly has to do with Japan and Russia. How does leaving a Japan military news article leave an air of pro-PRC tone in the thread?? lol If you want to write a rebuttal to the article please do. I very much doubt moderators will ban or delete the post seeing as it would be a response to the very much on topic military news.

This is in contrast to the obvious name calling and trolling that was happening before. Please don't confuse yourself. Responding to article is okay. Calling other members PRC trolls just because they hold a different opinion is not okay... especially when their posts were pretty balanced and did not provoke with territorial disputes. Unlike your posts which were deleted Hijiki.

This is the opening of the article:

"MOSCOW — Russia’s foreign minister says the U.S.-Japan security alliance poses “a problem” for Russia-Japan relations and complicates peace treaty talks.

The two countries have been struggling to negotiate a peace treaty after World War II because of a territorial dispute. The Soviet Union took the four southernmost Kuril Islands during the final days of the war, which Japan asserts territorial rights to."

To comment on that is to expand why the US-Japan alliance continues. And to anyone that knows something about the Kuril islands should know that elaborating the northern territory issue means more history discussion which is going to trigger political discussion.

The articke was a statement by a Russian official about the northern territories. There's nothing about Japanese training, Japanese military development, or Japanese capabilities. In nature, it is a geopolitical article

I've been lurking for a couple of years. I know he tries to be very active in moderating the forums.

But this post clearly reflected he, as the active moderator, is being too much influence in thinking by established Pro-CCP narrative.

Hence my jump in.

Putin added that Russia’s concern over US military infrastructure near its borders is quite rational, considering the unstable situation in America at the moment and the growth of Russophobia there.

The comment came in response to a question from a Japanese correspondent, who asked about Russian military development in the Kuril Islands and whether Russia would support a plan to demilitarize them and eventually hand over the four contested islands of the archipelago to Japan.

Putin said only a more wide-scale demilitarization in the region could be viable in the long run.

This is old news. It is merely a reply to someone who asked if my post was "military related".

But this news is relatively new. (9 days old.)

Seems like Japan should take some military efforts to actively safeguard its interests?
