Here's a pic that doesn't look around the same time but there's was a series of pictures last week with the J-20 positioned the same as in the latest video I thought was 2001 because the canopy was removed. Seems clear it was 2002 by this shot with the canopy missing.

Peter Jackson is supposedly producing a movie based off some book where Napoleon or someone like that gets their hands on a Chinese dragon egg and it hatches and it's evil and and used for evil purposes.

Are you talking about this series?

To be fair the book serise (which i'm not familiar with) doesn't seem to insinuate the whole evil deal. but the image of malevolent china as a dragon is still true, but so are slightly less negative phrases.

The emblem does look positioned a little higher.

It's a bit too blurry to tell for certain imo. We'll know soon enough though

Yeah that was it. I never heard of it until Peter Jackson's involvement. I heard the term evil Chinese dragon when the plot was discussed.

Quickie

2002 playing with its engines behind the fence.

One of nozzles can be seen to be opening or closing. The engine test doesn't have the higher pitch whining sound we used to hear of the 2001 engine.

Correction. I can still hear it during the start of the video but quite softly.

The emblem does look positioned a little higher.
He does not represent the view in the west of what is China, in the west the idea of the evil China comes from communism and this has been increased by the military budget and economic growth China has.

Most people in the west are afraid of the J-20 because it might develop an arms race, that most people do not want.

In Christian scathology, the devil is s spirit, the antichrist a beast, who has a world empire and is a dictator whose empire is in the west or middle east, but China does not play an evil role because china has a calendar with dragons.

Most Christians scholars agree that China has an important role in the last days, but China is not considered evil because Chinese like Dragons but because China is Communist and has different political system.

J-20 is feared and like it since it allows increase the military budgets and is a potential weapon to reduce the western advantage in military terms.

In my textbook, the author has compared certain aspects of Christianity with capitalism, but merely because of the messy relationships, not because of the religion itself originally. 2ndly, demonization of China appeared since the 18th century. Some political cartoons even depict that, therefore in a sense, Chinese had never been treated as at least equal since the Opium Wars. A way to help explain would be: (Western Imperialism in China) stretched all the way till WW2, where then even though a break was given to Chinese since China is now part of the Allies, racial discrimination and inequality back in the West towards local Asians remained. Once CCP hatched, the new association is what we know of today. In a sense and with that said, even without political enmity, Chinese still remained a competing character simply because of racisms and fear of Chinese whether as its national strength or as racism/immigration(competition of jobs).

Maybe I a little digressed in answering Mack8's question about the origin of my ID but I never brought up the J-20 as being seen as evil by the West. I believe I haven't read the article so I don't know the context of how the term is used. But I do know when it has been used, it has been put into the context of China plotting something diabolical. I gave an example of how the West has their own assassin's mace strategy in trying to make sure China's military doesn't modernize so if war comes they will know they'll win against China. It's sort of like how the West mocks "saving face" as something foreign and primitive. The West has their own version of saving face and it's called "ego." So if there's a problem then one should look to themselves first.

I don't know if anyone has caught this video that was on the same YouTube page as the last video I posted. Pretty nice seeing it in 1080p HD. Around at the 6:55 mark you see the FC-1 flying along with the J-20. I wonder when will we see the J-10B flying along side or even have all of them flying side-by-side in some event.

Well i respect your opinion becuase this is a J-20 thread not a historical thread, but as my last response, i can tell you that South Korea, Taiwan and Japan are also asian, and the west does not see them like they see China.

The reason why the west see China as an antagonist, has to do the Chinese political system and the Chinese foreign policies.

Example, now Japan is building a stealth fighter, but in the west there are not alarm bells because of that, and the main reason is Japan is capitalist, a democratic monarchy as England and Japan has no nuclear weapons.
Most western nations are multi-cultural, secular and democratic, thus most of human rights are respected included their citizens of asian descent and these days is very common to see western people married to asians.

So why China then is considered an antagonist?

Simple in the UN security 5 permanent members Russia and China oppose the Western policies, thus J-20 and T-50 are deterrent to western pressures.

China as well as Russia by building their own fleet of stealth fighters and support policies that do not agree with the west become the antagonists of the West.

So the J-20 becomes a weapon agression unlike the Eurofighter or the japanese F-3.
