Like the Russians would say anything else to the Indians, their primary export buyer and partner in the T-50? The Indians went for Rafales and the US wants to sell F-35s to India. What else are the Russians going to say?

For the record, the plan appears to acquire 60 PAK-FA (T-50) betweeen 2016 and 2020 (5 squadrons).

That appears to be in accordance with the rate of Russian fighter acquisitions between 2011 and 2015, when they intend to buy one squadron of SU-27SM3/SU-35S annually (12 + 48). They may also order 28 (or even 40) SU-30M2.

Actually it's 28 or 40 Su-30SM, which are similar to MKI/MKA/MKM( aparently).:)

Sorry, but "Lenta" & "Zelin" .... !!!;) What do You expect ?

Surely the T-50 is the BEST and besides that the RuAF will update their bomber-fleet, develop a new stealth-bomber, will introduce three squadrons of T-50 and they will get an operational Su-25 replacement by 2020, the RuNavy will receive five carrier-battle groups .... !:p

Come on they have election time ... so please let us be a little more realistic.

If you noticed, the article does not mention stealth features, but performance wise characteristics, recently Sukhoi reported the T-50 patent where they disclosed some of the main design features of T-50

As always, talking about qualitative features makes no sense without quantitative data.

Thanks, my sources had SU-30M2. Do you also know if Irkut has actually got this order yet?

Well from what i can read around, it seems there were two Su-30SM under construction for RuAF last year, and the contract should be signed this year.

Anyway 'nuff about Sukhois ...so when we're gonna see the second J-20?:p

Zelin and his "Electronic Pilot", eh? What the heck that is? Or he really meant electrified pilot? with a retractable vodka refiller needless to say?

To stay ahead, I say J-20 only needs to develop “Quantum Pilot” with a Karaoke-enabled hud that can simutaneously track 20 best Mahjong players within 500km. Now beat that! :p

Come on mack, you can't talk to much about Sukhois, I will have to admit the T-50 wins the fifth gen beauty contest, and maybe the aerodynamic design contest, but first choice is still the Raptor for capability and stealth. I would agree though I am missing the Chendu Daily Airshow. IMHO they may well be changing out the engines and taking care of some of those little tweaks and big tweaks that all prototype aircraft need. I probably should have signed on as Flanker Fan? I love your question though, where is the second bird?
