Article excerpt in PLA Newspaper mentioning that a squadron from the first brigade (from Anshan) has equipped new combat aircraft (obviously J-20). They are already doing high difficulty training regimes but haven’t achieved systemic combat capability yet.

I suspect that not the whole squadron hasn’t made the transition yet.
well... it's possible, but just because it mentioned first squadron from first brigade, does not means other squadrons has not made the transition yet. This article could be dated by few weeks or even months, plus, the name it mentioned here, Gao Zhongqiang, it's pretty famous, who won gold helmat twice(?) and even got on a TV show, so I'm not even superise they just use him as role model for this kind of articles...

Bah, already removed. Here's a screenshot of the thread while it was still alive:

I saw this too late. My best suggestion is to troll Weibo or DS military forum for more info.

Since we know for a fact that the J-20 has tested some form of TVC nozzle, I don’t see how this is particularly surprising. I have no doubt that people in Chengdu has seen this. Just watch this space.

A newly released old image of a J-20 with WS-10 engines.

What do you think about this? The wiki says there are 150 J-20s and the reference is this site. It doesn't look credible to me.

Sounds like the same bad maths or perhaps even the same source that SCMP used.

In any case, the same reason why the SCMP claim for 150 is not credible, this is also not credible.

If there are actually 150 then they wouldn't be just limited to Anshan, Wuhu, Dingxin, and Cangzhou.
just wondering, where is the original brigade of Quzhou move to when 9th brigade use their base in the last few months, any news of Wuhu airport recontrustion?
