Pakistan seem to have a weird obsession with Turkey, and have made a number of questionable defence deals with them.

I would extend that statement to and "Turkey seem to have a weird obsession and confidence in getting things done without any previous experience in less time and with a smaller budget than countries with vastly superior experience and has made a number of questionable schedules for them!"
But please leave Turkey out of the J-20 discussion.
