The image is undated, but it was first posted on January 2nd, 2021. The accompanying caption says, "第一次见", or "seen for the first time". Make that what you will.

Directed, tight beams with zero side lobes between A and B. In order to even successfully intercept the communication, the EW threat needs to be somewhere in the straight line between A and B.

Same with ship to satellite, ship to drone, drone to satellite, drone to drone, plane to drone, plane to ship, plane to satellite, land vehicle to plane, land vehicle to satellite.

These are why these flat panel phase arrays for digital communications are so important.

The green radome is probably a cover that's green.

Thanks for letting me know...just found that Deino already numbered all the jets in the picture.
My count is a little bit different: not sure whether the first one on the left is a J-20 or not.
More importantly, it is the first time that a green radome has been spotted on a J-20.
