Isn't the PL-16 not in service already then? I think it is.
Actually I wasn't sure, just heard noise a few months back about it possibly being deployed on the J-35s.
Didnt they PLA already stop the production of non-export PL-15 in favour of PL-16?

They will be the first brigade to get J-20A. Old birds are probably gonna get swapped out.
I think these are old images showing indeed early Batch J-20s based at Wuhu.
I wonder if once those J-20 are off of front line service they'll be reengined to some variant of WS-10 or if they will just be moved to some other unit as is. They're not gonna retire them so those early J-20 with AL-31 are going to be around unless they're reengined.
