WS-10C2 and it's successor engine is for J-20. Current production of J-20 is using it. WS-10C2 has incorporated the technologies of WS-15 in its new batches. WS-10C2 and it's New batches can be retrofitted into earlier 350 J-20 aircrafts by removing their inlet heat exchangers. It would give them enhanced range and speed.
Currently J-20A with WS-15 is going through testing and evaluation. It seems further fuselage redesign is sought to increase the weopens load, speed and range of J-20A. During that time production of WS-15 would be ramped up for J-20A. China is thoroughly testing the J-20A and WS-15. It always takes time. We would see the J-20A in Q2 2026, LRIP in Q3-4 2026 and production in 2027. China doesn't need to rush in unnecessarily. Redesign would take time to test and evaluate.
J-20A/S would see the light steadily. No short cuts would be sought. Every step would be evaluated and validated leading to production of the systems in J-20A/S including WS-15 engines, avionics and sensors.

That's a nice story but what's your source for it?

They have no source I'll bet. If they did they cant't disclose anyways lol.
Good or bad source is in industry and PLAAF. Like J-35/31 for last 13 years it was said it is a private venture, but there is no private venture in China. All is directed by CMC. They carry it forward or discard it we have no control upon that.

No one ever said the J-35 was a "private venture" for the last 13 years. J-31 also doesn't exist. It was an independent project by SAC up until 2018 when the PLA took full interest. Not sure what you're talking about.
