This guy is too good. I bet he is the chief designer and engineer for China's stealth bomber. This is why SAC can not match up with CAC.:D:cool:

You indeed seem to mix up a few things: "this guy" is from CAC and so he has surely no relationship to SAC, which in return has nothing to do with "China's stealth bomber", which is developed at XAC.

Uppss.. @latenlazy already replied. :)

You don't think XAC and CAC people work together on China's stealth bomber program? I doubt XAC could do it 100% alone all on their own without the input from the success of CAC J-20 program.

I’m pretty sure some specialists get shuffled between firms, but this would also be true with CAC and SAC, and the shuffling isn’t likely to be one way. CAC doesn’t own a monopoly on stealth knowledge. They all have access to the same research and tools, and the physics is the same for everyone. None of these firms are really doing anything “alone” since they’re all AVIC.

Or...they have their own experts and program heads?
I'm sure they do, but are they as good as Yang Wei himself in regards to the success of the program? Remember a stealth long range bomber is different and perhaps more complex than a stealth fighter? With Yang Wei guidance in the success to the J-20 program his input is very valuable to XAC as well to guide their experts along the development of the program. Like I said, it's all about the program.

Maybe they are? I think you’re overinterpeting publicity as hype here. When Yang Wei wasn’t a manager his work was in FCS, not rcs reduction. He’s not an omnipotent polymath. Modern fighter planes are too complex for any single person to be a technical expert on everything about them.

Yang Wei's leadership in getting the most of his talented team together is itself a accomplishment for the program.
