The J-11D's and J-20's radars supposedly come from the same manufacturer.
Doesn't necessarily mean that they use the exact same radar. For one, the dimensions, power, and number of modules may be different.

If it is true, it could be a test of stealthness and radar performance. We know two of them have working radars. There's a tidbit on the Chinese boards that four J-20s were in the air simultaneously taking part in some test. Want some pictures. This story might've came from Kanwa so take it what it's worth.
Deino, I would want you to be right. But I doubt Chinese government would be that "aggressive" in demonstrate a weapn still under development. It hasn't happened so far. But of cource there is always a first time. Let's wait till 9.3.I don't think so ... if there are in fact four of them in the air, then most likely in preparation for the parade !

True but the J-31 is "looking" for some foreign sales and has no firm commitment or even serious interest from the PLA that we know of, so you have to get your "Privateer" out there to sell, and she has to show well, which she did?Didn't stop J-31 from showing up at Zhuhai last year.

Now if the USN were all over the F-35 Charlie, I believe that might be different, but the USN seems somewhat indifferent to the Charlie, and I believe there are those who might even prefer the "Advance Hornet" over the
Charlie?
If you are refering Charlie as in Victor Charlie (VC) - the vietnamese:
Sounds quite improbable for Vietnam to buy Advanced Hornet. Political situation aside, they probably can't afford it - it is not economical for them, they would rather buy Sukoi.
