Come on guys, we have been through this any number of times already!

The J20 was always designed with the WS15 from the start.

The AL31s currently used are just stand ins, and would probably have undergone modifications so they better simulate the performance characteristics of the WS15 (also why we see J20s on afterburner so much).

Exactly Wolfie, mainly mounts and ducting, and they will very likely fly one WS-15 on the J-20 to start, this is the powerplant the J-20 was designed to use, NO biggie, I think our buds have been into the labor day weekend "hooch"??? in any respect 2001 is NOT expendable, nor near the end of its life, the early F-22s are still in test at Edwards, nor are they expendable?? I don't know what comic book these gents have been reading???? avengers?????

Of course the WS15 is the engine for the J-20.

China is just in a not so good position because it appears that the airframe and avionics are several steps ahead of the engine developement. Right now, I don't remember a foreign aircraft project right now that suffers the same problems.

The F-14 originally had this problem, I think.

I think the F-14 went the same route as the T-50 now. They went with the etablished TF30 engines for the first version and further batches got new engines.

But going back to the J-20. It will interesting to see what China is doing now and until the next prototype.

YES ... and therefore again and similar to the carrier tread ! All arguments are on the table ... no need to forth and back again ! ... maybe You simply have agree to disagree.

IMO for some here - including myself - this desperate long time without any news is a hard time ... but such is life sometimes...

you don't need to worry ... you can sleep well, don't worry anything of J-20 and WS-15A, it will be fine, there are bunch of extremely brilliant engineers in the project, much better than me and possibly much better than you as well ... so just relax and you can have your meal and sleep ok! :)

Unless you have something we don't know ... just relax and enjoy your time in this forum :p

What is there to agree or disagree? Speculating about the lack of WS-15 and how it affects further developement and prototypes, especially if there is already some kind of delay based on all the leaked stuff and claims, isn't really something to agree or disagree.

the problem is you just come up with the same thing again again again and again, nothing substantial .... some people get sick of it

Obviously we have different opinions ... and its totally fine
