To admit, for me - even if Off-topic - the J-10B with its sleek lines, the DSI and the new radome is one of the most elegant and beautiful current fighters ... maybe even playing in the same league of the French Rafale !

Anyway back to the J-20 ... show us 2016 & 2017 !!

Only downside are the engines. Those Snecmas are really good and I have to say their built quality is easily equivalent to P&W and GE.
I don't know if even the Taihangs are on par.

How many J20 will enter service? How much is it?

Its too early to say. So far we know there are 6 prototypes. And China normally do not release this kind of information about their force composition or how many they are going to purchase, so all we can do is guess.

As to how much it will cost - again, nobody knows. The general consensus is it will be cheaper than current crop of stealth fighters (F-22, F-35, PAK FA, ATD-X).
