Well if you guys think 2000 yuan is bad, the small print says the same model would set you back 3800 yuan if you bought it inside the convention center. But as a sweetener, you get a free J10 model if you buy a 2000 yuan J20.

Any of you know are crazy enough to want one of these at that price should make sure you also get the freebie J10.

Hmm, I wonder if CAC might not have better odds are finding buyers for their planes if they did something similar. Buy a JF17 and get a J7 free. Hurry while stocks last! :p

that looks pretty big. and 2000 yuan... looks like I'm not at that stage of collecting models just yet ;)

I asked a friend of mine who lives/works in Zhuhai to buy a J-20 model for me. The cheapest steel-made model with movable canards and canopy (dunno what else are movable) costs around 300RMB. Those displayed in the airshow cost thousand++. As you have seen the roadside one cost 2000RMB at discount price. Yeah, you get a J-10 for free. However, I decided not to get one yet and the reason is too expensive.

Note: The model is made of steel with multi-part movable.

This is the model at Zhuhai the Russians were looking at. I wonder if it's accurate.

Yeah, I'll take it, I think player wanted to buy it for me. LOL

Well, it's a lot of money for us mainlanders without a rich dad or a well-paying job. But what the heck, I'll sell some blood and buy you one for sure! That is, when you manage to come to China some day.

P.S. Hey, I've just turned the page again!

No, don't sell your blood, I'll buy you one, wifey is at work now, I think we need to get you back in the states and find you a nice girl who's a good cook, in fact if you had been here yesterday we could split what I ate and both of us still get fat. I would like a model, but I buy the 3.00 ones at Walmart when they come out. I'm trying to find some parts to build me a flat bar road bike, and you could ride my old Cannondale, this is the land of the do-it yourselfers. I did get my road bike back together. Any way, I wouldn't mind having a larger model of the J-20, that might be a nice addition to the decor around here. So guys, any word on the bird in the hanger? is it 2003, I fully expect her to be rolled out and fly anytime. Anyway, lets get you back to the states, and you and I will design a new sixth gen manned fighter and sell it to LockMart, they need a few true believers, and I did hear what you are saying, Lots of folks need to turn a new page! AFB

Ha, I was guite a DIYer when I was a kid! I repaired all kind of stuff from the neighbors, from a leaking bowl to a radio to an alarm clock... And speaking of bking, I was the only Chinese student who was seen on campus to mount a bike on the back of his car! But I gave up biking pretty soon though because Blacksburg is guiqte a hilly place and I got lazy soon also because driving around a tranquil and beautifu little town is such a pleasure! ...Speaking of setting me up with some girl, I was once set up with an undergraduate Korean chick in the mid 1990's and was set up with a 24-year-old blond (the good match maker mistook me for someone in his late 20's) a couple of months before I was to leave the States early this century... But let's just get back to the J-20! :D
