That's called the "bushes gang" in China rivals the "wall-climbing gang"!

Another one from this "bushes gang" ...
... but can anyone tell them that it is not the grass we want to see sharp and clear but the aircraft behind ! :(;)

hey chief, they're just keeping their head down, as they likely don't want it "shot off", lol, something our little "western" minds don't always register, maybe trying to avoid "going for tea" with your friendly local party officials???? takes a few stones to post those up maybe?????

Probably used a digital camera with auto focus and grass is in the way so that was what was focused on.

What I mean is, if they've RAM coating in light grey (or in genaral, shades found in air superiority paint scheme), why not test them on the "2001" prototype? Was it because the material breakthrough only made recently or due to other reasons?

That could make sense.

Or maybe RAM has nothing to do with the actual colour. I don't think there is any intrinsic property in RAM that says it must be black or grey. I think they could probably make a compound which is bright pink ad is just as effective in absorbing radar.

So what I'm saying is that the change in colour is probably only just that: a change in colour. Why whet there is addition or change in RAM is something we cannot extrapolate with the little information we have

Both the Early J20's and the J21 prototype have near black hulls. Now the early assumption was that this was due to The Chinese Ram Paint.
Now it may be that as the years have gone by the improved there Ram and now have a Wider and better pallet.
There is however another option but to get to it we have to zoom out of China, Asia and zoom in to Europe and the UK. Royal Air Force Flight Trainers like the Short Tucano and BAE Systems Hawk. as well as licenced Helicopters for training including the Eurocopter Squirrel, and Bell Griffin.
Black liveries are used as Black as a Color Against the Sky stands out in stark Contrast. In Day light and Night a NightRider black hull can be easily spotted and tracked. It may be the PLAAF was worried that since even though crude they might loose track and control of one of these prototypes so they painted them Black to be easily spotted via the MK1 Eye ball. This might have been also wanted because the PLA wanted to Show off. Remember both Jets were unveiled in very big ways. Having them look totally different from any other PLA jet would have been a bonus.

Has anyone seen more?

I am adding all of the J-20 aircraft no. 2012 pictures (the ones that seem credible at least) that I can find to:
