I know that J-10B is comparable with F-16E Block 60, technically speaking. Which is a very good addition to Indonesian air force in terms of capability. But why not brand new J-10CE? If I’m not wrong, J-10B can’t use long range PL-15 missiles that shot down those indian rafale.

Hopefully Indonesian air force bought the upgrade package for the J-10B with AESA Radar & PL-15 Missiles. Making it J-10B-ID

The procurement priority now is kinda "How fast you can deliver". if the B or even AG (J-10A with AESA mid-life update) It would be preferred. It's retarded but i will be honest with you that the one handling the procurement kinda want quick commission.

"Flanker" means the Su27 lineage. We are talking about J10 now. Also, just a few pages before there is an AP news article clearly stating 42 airframes.
Please just put in your basic level of research/effort when blindly asking stuff like this.

Per their CHH podcast today, the trio thinks it's new, aka J-10CE, and they think it's very geopolitical in nature (which I'm sure you all have some idea about)

I'm not totally sure if they have insider info on this. It sounded like they don't and these are just their educated opinions.

If they are smart, maybe the can flip their Rafales to the Indians, which will not only fully fund the J10 purchase, but probably also yield a huge amount of profit on top.

J-10 doesn't offer same deal as rafale does. Rafale is a single stop, full stack aircraft.

J-10 is a better a2a aircraft, and after zhuhai-24 there's path (paid or not - unknown) to at least decrease discrepancy in range/strike metrics, but ultimately j-10 family is fighter-interceptor first - and foremost.
