Strategypage is absolute nonsense. I don't think I have ever read anything true from that source.

Hey if You want to read a good joke ... :p

Deino ;)

Keep wondering what the performance difference between the AL-31FN and WS-10 powered J-10B versions
are. what are their perculiarities.

supposily "F110-GE-129 in the Block 50 F-16C is better throughout the entire envelope than the installed performance of the F100-PW-229 in the Block 52" F-16s.

and F-110-GE-129 powered block 50s is better in subsonic accel than F100 powered block 52s. while F100 block 52s were little better in the highspeed and altitude part of envelope.
who knows, may be same will manifest in j-10Bs?

I also remember WS-10 is little wider and had a bigger bypass than AL-31. and given WS-10's history, really interesting to see if the same sort of difference show up in PLAAF J-10 service.

The pix of current j-10B denies the fact that it got AESA radar.
In AESA the nose of the aircraft is more likely to be diamond shape but i really hope china soon add it on J-10B to make it more lethal aircraft

Japanese F2, latest versions of American F15, F16, and F18E all have AESA and none of them have diamond shape noses. The Typhoon and Rafale are set to get AESA and they don't have diamond noses either.

Only 5th gen stealth fighters have diamond shape noses, and that is for stealth shaping, not the AESA.

I don't know where you gather the info from? The fact, J-10B has slated nose even weigh more towards the side of an AESA. J-10B will have AESA. Proabably if this is comfirmed. It will be a hard fact to be accepted by lots of slayer, right?

it was a joke on my part too
ban Deino? i might as well stop reading SDF :p

offtopic jokes aside, can we make anything out of the latest AL-31FN engine purchase?
replacement for J-10A spares?
more new J-10As with AL-31FNs?
Pakistan J-10B with AL-31FNs? (very unlikely)
or just rehashed and misplaced news by journalist?
