Honestly Italian shipbuilding is so underrated

Very advanced and can compete with many of the worlds best including the Asian giants

When other European countries have failed Italy has succeeded

Overall they can put together a very decent force

And they are ambitious this carrier is largest since WWII

Twin island on a small warship shouldn’t look good but they have done a fine job

On the ship the Italian Navy also installs a sky jump for V / STOL aircraft, the works are progressing rapidly.

Beautiful new LHD and from thje looks of it, very capable too.

Youtube - Launch of LHD 'Trieste' for the Italian Navy

Displaces 32,500 tons
Can carry up to 15 F-35Bs
Carriers anti-air missiles, up to 16 Ater 15 and 30, or up to 32 CAMM ER missiles

460 crew
Max of 1064 Marines

Like I said, a good LHD with a very decent well deck for 4 LCUs or 1 LCAC and hangar for the helos and fighters.
