possible, but it looks a lot like the superstructure that houses the CIWS Kamand 30mm aboard the frigate Sahand (74)

Iranian Brigadier General Ashtiani visiting an undisclosed armaments production facility; most notably is the warship on display similar to the one they’re building in Bandar Anzali giving credence to the rumor that the vessel might be equipped with a vertical launch system given the similarities between the vessel under construction and the one shown to the Brig. General.

Also shown to the Brig. General was the development of what is presumably a domestically designed vertical launch system for the Iranian navy.

The structure is similar visually however the structure on the new frigate/destroyer is mounted on an amidship mast [see previous images] and has a radar panels already installed on one side, its definitely a radar system.

Iranian Project 887 Kilo-class submarine launching a small UAV system from its bow.

As far as I’m aware no other navy has exhibited such a practice nor does it seem fees-able as it requires the submarine to surface and stay surfaced in order to maintain telemetry with the drone.

Iran has recently [15JUL22] inaugurated its first “drone carrier division” comprising of Project 887 Kilo-class [Tareq], auxiliary ship [Delvar], and Hengam-class landing ship [Lavan].

Homa, Arash, Jubin, Ababil-4, Bavar-5, and Pelican-2 unmanned systems have been shown to have been equipped by vessels of the drone carrier division; comprising of loitering munitions, strike, reconnaissance and scouting platforms; giving the Iranian navy a mixed basket of unmanned capabilities and a new approach for power projection in the Persian Gulf.
