Is it? I find it weird that a new kit that just came out is being allowed to be sold to foreign countries. Do you have a link you could share for these kits? If I'm wrong here then I stand corrected.
No way it is being allowed to sold to any where beside the Army, that being said, it is just a kit, nothing surprising here, I'd be amazed if he got his hands on the PLA version of ATAK with the goggle that has digital nvg built-in.

So these are not supposed to be sold to outsiders then. If that's the case then I stand by my statement. Such people need to be purged since they clearly are not trustworthy within the PLA. IMO, I don't care about how little of importance an item or gear is, if it ain't supposed to be sold to outsiders but someone still does it, that's a traitor in my book. I would never trust these people to be in the PLA ever.

Are we sure these are even the actual legitimate kits for the PLA from the same OEM, rather than just externally similar imitations?

After all it's not like China is lacking in producers of body armour, helmets and camo gear.

I mean, this is literally just taobao lol. Replicas are a plenty for all manner of products there.

They are most likely OEM supplier/manufacturer, this is why I think the kit might not be legit in some cases, any manufacturer can make them, or they can be of bad batch of gears not accepted by PLA, so chill out

Actually I will get more shocked if this guy got a QBZ191 before PLA attack Taiwan. Personnel equipment not too hard to buy one.;)

If it isn't official or can be sold then there is nothing wrong, if it ain't then I stand with my opinion. No need to chill out simply because I have zero tolerance for traitors and the like.

I find that difficult to entertain.

For actual PLA equipment, even in the past/old types, they are kept on quite a close leash.

For example, 5.8mm QBZ-95 family weapons have not been seen outside of China by anyone that isn't the PLA, despite entering service decades ago

I think there's no reason to jump to the conclusion that the equipment being sold are PLA equipment produced from the OEM to begin with.

I'm surprised everyone is being so trusting of this notion -- if we look at how much replica tactical and small arms gear can be found on taobao and AliExpress and the like, from other international brands, then why do we think that "PLA" products which other people buy off taobao are suddenly official and legitimate...
