Oxide is a US Army pilot (recently commissioned). He isn’t in infantry, so he won’t have any practical experience with military gear. On the other hand, Im surprised that he got his hands on gear like this when not even a simple majority of the Chinese grunts got it. Then again he also got his hands on Russian Ratnik gear, something that not even many Russian infantrymen got their hands on.
Well like I mentioned before with the chinese optics; that's stuff a lot of grunts don't get their hands on however a civilian in the USA can easily buy right now. Also there's the fact that China does export arms ranging from small arms to more expensive toys, some of such gear have variants used by the PLA. The only thing missing really would be the new uniforms and the novelty of seeing a fellow westerner get access to some newer gov't standard issued gear.

Ratnik? Try EBay. A lot of Russian military gear was on EBay pre Ukraine. How it got there I leave to your imagination.

You know these kits are being sold on "咸鱼" right, almost brought one myself, but gotta say the legitimacy of these gears are a question compared with army issues equipment
Is it? I find it weird that a new kit that just came out is being allowed to be sold to foreign countries. Do you have a link you could share for these kits? If I'm wrong here then I stand corrected.
