According to several credible Weibo users, the PAP will switched to new camouflage patterns. No word on weather they will retain the existing combat uniforms or adopt new ones.

Those look like Multicam. Especially the top one. In its creation Crye Precision and the US Army Natick lab experimented with a number of secondary iterations with a tan and Green dominated color way for use in Arid and wood land environments.

The modern form of the combat helmet looks identical across a number of nations due to common counter to a set of threats. Primarily artillery. If you look at the modern combat helmet it’s history starts in World war 1 it’s a reinvention based on medieval European war helmets as it has a similar threat that being raining projectiles. In the Medieval Europe it was arrows and stones in the modern age is fragments from high explosive shells. It’s a funny story as advancements in the same technology rendered the same counter technology both obsolete and then relevant. The Direct fire Musket and canon fielded by fast moving professional armies meant the helmet was obsolete the fortifications was of limited value, rapid reload technology and higher velocity rounds made all but the thickness walls or most primitive defenses useless. The advent of plunging fire artillery and high explosive shells raining fragments on the heads of troops in trenches brought it back. From there as velocities increased payload got more lethal helmets got heavier and the threats moved to include shockwaves. Necessitating a redesign to the modern iteration. Helmets and Cuirass are among the oldest armor in history dating to the Assyrians. Though there maybe even older who knows maybe some pre Homo sapients realized coverage of the head and chest before a fight might just save his life.

I think you've missed the point here.

Instead of arguing against the counter-trolling that others have made, you perhaps should have addressed the original trolling that Orthan made.

In any case, this is enough for moderator intervention given the sheer number of threads and sub-forums it has been happening in.

Orthan, you are receiving a three month warning ban. On your return, please consider wasting people's time in a less gratuitous fashion.

Various OT posts also deleted that started from his post.
