A new multi-functional thermos, made of titanium alloy, according to the original Weibo poster. I'm surprised they would go with titanium. I'm under the impression that the metal is somewhat strategic.
Titanium is considered strategic because of its aviation and other military uses. However its one of the most common elements of the earth crust and available today. Unlike in the past it’s far more common. It’s been used as a commercial metal for cook ware and mess kits commercially for sometime. If there was an issue it’s price point is generally double. Mostly as the material is harder to work with. This is why it’s not as common as say aluminum. It’s as strong as steel yet half the weight.

Segment on troop exercises. Soldiers wearing new starry sky camouflage are depicted. The smurf camo seems to not have been completely phased out yet.
The ones deployed at Djibouti seems to be all wearing Starry Sky camo. Soldiers depicted with blue camo at the end was in reference to 2018 Zhurihe exercise.

Generally it takes a few years for a large force to cycle older uniforms and equipment out. And let’s face facts here the PLA is huge in size. So it shouldn’t surprise if some old sets were still in use.
For comparison USAF started its phase out of ABU about a year earlier than the PLA uniform reset, even having units with on hand Sets In some airmen’s hands from Afghan deployment and an established supply from the US Army they didn’t set mandatory phase out till next April. And the USAF is a lot smaller than the PLA.
Also note that the Female presenter was still wearing type 07 Service uniform not the other set we saw appear around that time.
These. Then again haven’t seen them much since have we?
The rest of the lineup...

She is public affairs so one would expect her to be transitioning faster to the new Service uniforms than the grunts. Yet type 07. Even if the footage was stock or fresh I expect the occasional smurf.

Group photo wearing full kit, featuring desert pattern starry sky camouflage. The pants are noticeably baggier, this I assume keeps legs cool in hot climate. Looks very American now, which is nice. I will await the time when QBZ-191 officially enter service, then the modern Chinese equipment set would be complete.

The only problem I see is some of the helmets are too big and does not fit the head of some of the soldiers properly.

Is it? He has got 6-8 mags on him, quite normal. This is basic fighting order, In marching order, not only would they carry 6-8 loaded magazines, but also several hundred loose/ stripper clip rounds in their bergens.

Those are double mag pouches he has up front. Assuming he has the same side pouch layout on the other side, that’s 11 Mags including the one in his rifle, which is quite a lot actually. That’s 330 rounds. You would not need that many rounds unless you were in an intensive and prolonged firefight, in which case you would be better off with more rounds in stripper clips in backpack zip on panels.
