I said it makes sense for India to have components made and ground tested already. I did not comment on the nature of some definitions of "partial success". I want to avoid another annoying and unproductive mud slinging festival. However I think all the posted literature is enough to indicate what "flights" did or did not take place.

According to the press rel;ease the missiles was successfully launched. It did not say that the missile was successful. That is simply your version. The press release only limited the meaning of success to the launch itself and nothing more. You are entitled to your own opinion but not to your own facts.

Perspective matters and consequently their corresponding truth values. It is the reason why I stated from the outset the posts you were making were meaningless because they lacked perspective and ultimately truth values. When it is all said and done on the subject of the Indian hypersonic program, it still need a lot of work. Such an outcome is not unexpected regardless of the attempted spin on the meaning of success.

The parts and components are irrelevant. The sum of the parts working together successfully is what will ensure the programs's success.

Dear @chain smoker, instead of accusing others aka the whole forum "to demean every thing related to Indian military" or to question any of such statements I beg to calm down and briefly think: This is a Sino-Defence Forum and as such its main interest is sureyl China.

IMO we - at least I think I speak for the majority of members here - are not demeaning everything related to Indian military, but we are highly skeptical. This however is not only related for Indian stuff, but also for other countries and here ware are again very much different to other forums: We usually question nearly everything unless proof or a reasonable explanation is given. This is for Russian stuff, European, Pakistani, Indian but also Chinese and I must admit I'm actually proud for this since we are not like the Pakistan Defence Forum, where hordes of Pakistani fan boys span the PAF section, where even more nationalistic Turkish fans claim the greatest or certain Indian forums, where such claims are from.

Therefore first you told it is in service and step by step we get aware, the it was a test of a test specimen only which most likely was only a partial success .... but as you remember You claimed in the beginning it is in service.

So in summary, we greatly appreciate each Indian news, but please keep in mind we are a critical thinking forum and that does not equals to we are "demean everything related to Indian military".

Best and take care.

Did someone screw up the scale model, or are they actually retaining the booster rocket for the air launched version of the Brahmos? Most air launched AShM and cruise missiles dispense with the land based version’s booster.
Booster separation for brahmos/ all ramjet missiles occurs at well above Mach 1. As such, a booster (albeit with lesser delta v for air launch as compared to ground launch) is required to bring the missile to critical speed for its ramjet to provide sufficient propulsive thrust. The alcm booster is quite a bit smaller than the glcm variant.

Brought up in a military family – his grandfather a veteran of the Royal and then Indian Air Force and his father a colonel in the Indian Army – the officer could not stomach it anymore.
“What Sikkim not our territory? What the hell!” he shouted back. Then, as one PLA major moved menacingly towards his senior officer, a captain, the lieutenant flew into him and punched him in the face.
The Lieutenant Was Patted For Bravery, Yet Admonished For ‘Provoking a Bigger Spat’
The Chinese major collapsed with a thud and his name tag came loose – a good souvenir to carry back – but the lieutenant left it alone, as his colleagues pulled him back.
After being admonished for a while by senior officers, for provoking a bigger spat, and being congratulated by officers from command and divisional headquarters at Kolkata and Sukna, the lieutenant was preparing for a commendation. But, the senior commanders could not land at Muguthang because of bad weather.
Even Army Chief Gen MM Naravane is said to have expressed his desire to ‘have a look at the boy.’
Meanwhile, the lieutenant is unrepentant, but somewhat crestfallen because he has been pulled back to a location away from the front. His only comfort that his troops are loving his act of 'teaching the Chinese the right lesson.'
A senior officer said, “he (the lieutenant) is a hero for his troops – slight build but extremely pugnacious.”

Sounds kinda like a one sided tall tell from a kid that knows he will be protected because his family is connected
Or an hr Indian officer attacked a mid level Chinese officer unprovoked and by suprise. The Chinese were nice enough to not just shoot him dead. Since they had good discipline and restraint.
