@timepass You seem to have an agenda. It is alright to have an agenda. I think biases and personal agenda's are very powerful organs in any forums ( esp for defence). But posting some neutral news/ positive news pertaining to the topic wouldn't hurt. If you can't then i guess someone else should.

Boeing to set up a new facility for F/A 18 Super Hornet production in India

Nothing is finalized yet. the article states that;

"Boeing has offered to set up a new production facility in India for the production of its F/A-18 Super Hornet fighters"

Still a lot will need to be done when and if production to Super Hornets ever starts in India...We will all have to wait and see what all shake out of this proposal.

Indian Navy pushing Rs 3,500 crore Kamov-31 chopper deal with Russia..

This is another equipment China and India got overlap (the only two in addition to Russia).
It seems this equipment does NOT had its own thread in this forum. Does any one care to shed some light how it has been running in China? ever since media reported its operating from LPD 988. And so web sources (rumors) kept saying it's "downgraded" to amphibious forces, no longer CSG.
To me, it's not only about how good or bad, but more at integration issue with China's C3I systems.

Saw this posted over at Defence.pk. It's interesting enough to share here. These are high-resolution close-up photos of INS DDG-63 Kolkata, JS DDG-117 Suzutsuki, and PLAN FFG-539 Wuhu. Look at the workmanship on the Indian ship. Did they use their fingers to apply the pennant number? Good lord, just look at the weld seams, they look like they were chewed by a puppy!

India has next to none existent Shipbuilding industry. It's shipbuilding capabilities and skill are absolutely inferior to say- South Korea, China or Japan. The three Asian neighbors are absolute titans in the shipbuilding industry and surely they'd see the benefits in their Military projects too. I really am not very optimistic about the stealth capability of Indian nuclear submarines. If this is the case for their frontline destroyer,then what would that promise for their nuclear submarines? The russian instructors might be having a tough time coaching new hands. It is absolutely a defenite fact that India would require a decade or two to rise up to 21 century levels.

It's too big to be called non existent. Lot of Indian civil ships & Naval ships are made in India.

Here I agree.

Stealth is generated from design and EW capabilities. Stealth is clear from the design.
The russian instructors might be having a tough time coaching new hands. It is absolutely a defenite fact that India would require a decade or two to rise up to 21 century levels.
Absolute trolling with nearly no knowledge about the particular topic.

I just look logged in on Sinodefence after a long time to say high to everyone. But seems that just like other forums, it too has become an echo chamber. Much more humble as moderators are still very rational. But agenda pushers haven't left any place. Sad.....

Anyways, I will start on posting again when I am able to spare time.
