Its sort of normal. It is dependent of the spacing between the frames and how thick the plate is and it becomes more obvious with a ship's age as the stress of the sea on the hull take its toll.
Maybe on indian ships the plates are unusually thin and/or bad quality to keep costs down, though

I call bullshit and masochistically I read IDRW's website now saying that IAF's world leading ECCM caused many PL15's to softland intact and in that vein of shitreporting even locals said little parachutes attached to falling intact PL15's were seen -tell me this thisn't some fantasy ...again.
