large ticket items such as aircraft and naval systems, tanks, helicopters from the US will never be purchased by the Pakistani military anymore, China and to a lesser extent Turkey and also domestic production will make up the vast majority of defence spending
I am betting that PAF will get Turkish KAAN 5GEN not PLAAF -tech opsec and all and with the established kill-chain-system even if the
KAAN is 5 Gen- lite it will enhance PAF's already proven-PLAAF taught- aerial combat techniques-especially with China's BVRAAM's

J35AE is gonna be our next fighter with more J10CE, KAAN is at least 10 years from reaching operational use.

In the Indian forum, a few posters said Pakistan backed out of the j35 deal so they can acquire F35 instead. Pakistan will also allow US base. There is a possibility that this will happen.

It may sound crazy.. just recently US invited some high ranking Pak official to US for chat.

do you really believe this nonsense?

KAAN would take a decade to reach mass production in the best case scenario. It will take even longer to export in face of domestic demand unless it prioritized for export.

Then there is the question of the engine. Turkey lost the T129 sale to Pakistan because the US did not release the T800 engine. Waiting for KAAN to be exported with a turkish engine is open-ended when it comes to a timeline.

Aside from the engine, Kaan is going to use either American or Turkish missiles. The latter is probably more likely, and as Turkish missiles are immature, they're just not a very good choice when Pakistan has access to etremely potent Chinese missiles. We also don't know how effective all the indigenous Turkish systems are going to be so they're going to be a big risk. I imagine that Pakistan might pick up a few, but the Kaan won't be a major component of the PAF. Instead, the Kaan program is far more important for tech transfer purposes.

Thats alot of cope for the case of Pakistan just handling Trump better than many others from its position of relative power vis a vis America and Super-Power India.

Europe has nothing to offer, there best was already bested by what Pakistan already has.

US wont offer F-35 nor Pakistan will buy it with all the strings it will come attached with.

The idea that Pakistan backed out of the J-35 to pursue the F-35 doesn't hold water. Pakistan never seriously considered the F-35, even when there were no viable alternatives, due to the heavy political strings attached.

Now, with the J-35 progressing steadily, there's no incentive for Pakistan to pursue an option like the F-35, which compromises strategic autonomy.

If anything, the J-35 aligns far better with Pakistan's long-term defense and geopolitical interests.
