Doesn't the west want an alternative to China right now though? They want to use India to wack China and India hates us. I mean holding join exercises and letting the brits land their prized aircraft in your country + US offering to sell F35s still looks like they're getting tighter. The only big ally they'd have that's not the west would be Russia and they're not looking too good at the moment. I don't see how much more benefit they'd have keeping Russia around as opposed to the west

Main thing though is both India and the west have interests in tackling China. This is not good in the long term when India grows into a formidable power. Fighting the US and Japan is enough. Add India in the mix and it's not gonna look nice.

If India wants to be an eternal lackey of the West they can continue getting into their orbit.
I think India simply does not realize how things are in the current world.

The US just wants to turn India into a giant version of the Phillipines. They will do cheap final assembly. No high end work.

Sorry, I shouldn't have said fully align with the west. India doesn't want to fully align with the west but stay as its own bloc. But that doesn't mean they won't partner up against China. This is like another *US warming relations with China after the sino-soviet split to oppose the USSR* situation.
Sorry I'll stop talking and straying off topic o_O

Right now, India's military can't even beat Pakistan so they're very far away from being a formidable power. As long as the Hindu nationalists are in charge of the country, they'll never be able to tackle the necessary military reforms so they might never get there without some serious change in leadership. The other issue is that India is only ever on India's side, and I think that everyone is finally starting to realize that. As such, it's impossible for India to get any serious allies or even long term friends, so at most they'll only be able to menace South Asia.

Wonder if it is an Aryan phenomenon…

I'm amazed bro, do all Russian think this way now?

The Russian always look the other way when dealing with India, what change?
