So regarding the Wistron saga, curiously I searched some relevant Tweets regarding it and the results utterly surprise me.
A lot of folks and media (if not the majority) prefer either to blame China or the local Workers' Union or their communist party. I have not seen any Tweets that suggest an investigation of the wage theft allegations.

P.S. Personally I believe the mistakes occurred on the local level either the local Wistron management teams or 3rd party subcontracting / payment vendors that are cheating.

Wistron is technically a Chinese company as per China’s perspective. Nothing wrong there.

There is apparently a report from the local government... the factory only became operational in September, it really didn’t take long for things to go down hill... it’s seems the local government want to throw the book at Wistron but is afraid of losing the investment and jobs... and they blaming the local hr team and contractors... they say of the 10,500 or so workers, 8,500 are contracted via third-party so could very well be the contractor trying to take a slice of the pie, it is according to this article a really poverty stricken area...

China needs to actually enforce the law over the rogue province, they've been getting away with it for too long!

Pssh China let’s Taiwanese corporations like Foxconn abuse Chinese workers. What makes you think they’ll stand up to Indian workers on this issue?
