They ban the wrong apps, Modi should be aware of what Twitter, Facebook ,Google and Amazon had done to Trump their own President. Easily they can do that to Him , especially since most Indian can't live without them.
I have somewhat different take on this particular issue.
As much as the disgusting mentality of man is responsible for this, as a "woman", i can't say women are 100% naive.
That stars from the point of "demanding freedom". You are demanding freedom from whom? You said you are equal to everyone else. Why do you need to demand it from someone else? As I have said , every action has equal and opposite reaction. Why you set yourself free & whine about getting raped? If you are equal to them then you should rape them back. Isn't that what mathematical equation says?
The human bred theory of equality is problem here. Equality can't be provided by human. It's provided by nature. The one who provides is the one who decides.
There is no two things that is equal in this universe. That's where the greatness of this Universe's wisdom lies.
Man & woman aren't equal to each other. Two man & two woman aren't equal to each other. They fulfil each other.
As a woman, I am confident enough in my ability to defend myself. Above woman, man, human identity, I identify myself as humble child of Mother Nature.
But I find it weird that, you want to set yourself free , but want to be protected because you can't bare the cost of that freedom.
You have two choice. Either you can follow respective faith or religion or whatever you call it, which brings you under protection of community if you follow their laws.
Or you can do this free way. In which case, you should have the ability to come on top of food chain in game of survival of the fittest.
It is one way or the other.

A religious hindu thing? As a former catholic practitioner I had observed and know some of their nefarious ways.
I believe due to serious incidents, China decided to no longer enforce the division of property after divorce. The one who paid for the house (biggest asset in China) is the owner regardless of who's on the title.
In the old days women had no job to support themselves resulting in such rules. Now CCP seems to think the costs are too extreme to the man leading to lots of strife especially when homes cost like 40 years of salary.
The result is women becoming more and more independent and childless.
Honestly this is probably a good thing for overpopulated places like China which is also on the verge of automation revolution.
But is this natural? Who knows.
A good video from Daniel Dumbrill, the myth of Incredible India, their neighbors is disgusted and afraid of them, sharing the same culture and habits now they don't want to associated themselves with them.
