India imposing 20% tariff on certain types of rice.

Unmilled and husked brown rice will also be subject to a 20 percent export duty. Semi-milled or totally milled rice, other than parboiled and basmati rice, will also be subject to the 20 percent tariff.

Saw this screenshot showing the largest exporters by global share percentage. I did not know India is the world's biggest rice exporter and by such a large margin. Vietnam, Thailand in 2nd and 3rd.

I don't know what kind of cope they're smoking maybe it's a high grade stuff BUT within 4 years China will dominate the 28nm and above node with complete domestic processes. Who are the buyers of those chip with lack of domestic supply chain sources and relying mostly on imports those chip will be expensive to build plus with creaking infrastructure that venture is a big scam and a vanity project fleecing the India public of their hard earn money.

Necessity is the mother of invention. Thanks to the actions of US, China will dominate semiconductors within 10 years, bankrupt TSMC, put Taiwan Province into a recession thereby instigating the righteous cause of peaceful reunification.
