What was India's "growth" in 2020 and 2021, tidalwave?
Indian GDP for 2021 was lower than the 2019 one, so their net growth for 2 years was negative - 0.92 * 1.083 ~= 0.997, where one is equal to 2019 GDP. In comparison, China's growth over the same period was - 1.023 * 1.081 ~= 1.106, i.e. 10.6%. Jai Hind.

The first quarter growth is misleading as well. Last year Indians were dying en masse because of the COVID peak. All the call centre scammers and twitter bots were begging for oxygen for family members. 13% growth from that baseline is less impressive.

what do u think about the Indian high speed rail? The budget has gone up recently. The loan that Japan is giving is in Yen, but Yen has depreciated. I dont think the construction cost is Yen based...
Latest estimate is 2026 opening for a small 60km stretch, and 2028 for the rest of the line.

Land acquisition is still not complete. Stuck at 75% for Maharashtra
