Maybe China needs to consider operation for Andaman&Nicobar Island as first step.

There is widespread discussion about China & India conflict in both China & India right now, even for average layman folks.

Don't know how they can blockade anything. Since most commercial vessels fly flags of other countries due to tax purposes.
It will just increase risk for a whole bunch of other countries, which will pressure India to stop.
Or China will escalate and simply start taking some serious territory.
Remember, India import 80% of energy, whereas China it's 60%. China being one of the largest energy producers in the world. And Indian fuels have go pass Pakistan

Myanmar is a politically and geographically better choice for China to establish an overseas Naval Base. What are the chances that Myanmar would be inclined to this proposition? What more, would there be any indication that China would move ahead with such a plan. Ideally, it would work in everyone's favor, if Myanmar and Bangladesh can resolve their differences and join the SCO at sometime in the future. It would solidify China's strategic interests in South East Asia.

China has alot of leverage over Myanmar. Both economic and politically Myanmar is returning to China now.

do you know the Chinese Military has been on Great Coco Island, Myanmar for years? (LOL I think I even put it on my Facebook this year, as it's as exotic place as it gets while viewed from the middle of Europe)

I see several problems with this plan.

1) First and foremost, lack of confidence. All these "clever" plots suggest one thing: the Indians don't have any confidence that they will win on the ground. Let's face it. At the moment, they should focus exclusively on the plateau of Doklam. If they are suggesting doing something thousands of miles away from ground zero, the implication would be that they have almost no hope of winning at ground zero. So they have to invent something "clever" and "creative", which is another word for "desperate", as "plan B" WHEN they lose on the ground.

It's like a high school kid tells his bigger and stronger opponent: "when you punch me in the face, my face cells will punch your fist as well. And your fist will hurt as much as my face because for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."

2) Does India have enough naval assets to actually establish a blockade? It requires a lot of assets to establish a blockade. Does the Indian navy have that many vessels to do that job? It actually requires overwhelming military advantages to set up and maintain a blockade.

3) What would other countries who are doing a LOT of trading with China say about it? Most of India's western allies are all major trading partners with China. Is any of them willing to sacrifice their own bottom line for India? To this day, no one is even willing to verbally support India.

Is it one of your China Threat pet theories? Beer fueled Pub Fictions?
Chinese Military? For years?
Your approach is very subtle and imperceptible, and yet here we are, a decade old piece of China Threat theory, alive and well, from the middle of Europe.

The maritime reconnaissance and electronic intelligence station on Great Coco Island in the Bay of Bengal, some 300 kms south of the Burmese mainland, is the most important Chinese electronic intelligence installation in Myanmar [Burma]. The Chinese Army is also building a base on Small Coco Island in the Alexandra Channel between the Indian Ocean and the Andaman Sea north of India's Andaman Islands. These two islands, which have been leased to China since 1994, are located at a crucial point in traffic routes between the Bay of Bengal and the Strait of Malacca. The Coco Islands are thus an ideal location for for monitoring Indian naval and missile launch facilities in Andaman and Nicobar Islands to the south and movements of the Indian Navy and other navies throughout the eastern Indian Ocean.

Construction of the Great Coco Island station began in late 1992 with the emplacement of a 45-50m antenna tower, radar sites and other electronic facilities forming a comprehensive SIGINT collection facility. In mid-1993, some of the 70 Chinese naval personnel began operating the new radar equipment, and by the summer of 1994 the the PLA the radar and SIGINT facilities were complete and ready for use.
