Yeah, right, I come to complain that there are a couple of moderators who quietly delete peaceful and elaborate posts and without explanation.

You mean the thing they've been doing for years already? That's their discretion because if I remember, they own this site, not you. Why are you here if you don't like it? You even said, "Out of a lot of forums this is the most ridiculous one I've come across." so clearly you have other places you like more than here. Why not go there then?

At this point, I'm curious if you are just here to start shit or troll because clearly you have no reason to stay but you still do.

That is not what this thread is about. If you have anything constructive to say, you can do so in your own thread.

Don't worry, don't be afraid, I am not going to write any elaborate message in this forum.

I just come to complain and say that this forum has no Rules.

It's a good idea to set limits to a couple of tyrants.

This forum is a good metaphor for the "rules-based international order".

Credit where it's due, that's a good line.

I've had posts deleted without warning or notice before. It's frustrating, I get it. But here's the thing... it's not all about you, or me.

Moderating a place like this is work, and there are only a handful of volunteers doing that work in their spare time. The trade-off for maintaining a reasonable level of quality and scope of discussion without creating an overwhelming workload is that there is a degree of expediency and individual whim in how the moderators conduct themselves. Considering the alternatives of either a complete breakdown in standards, or having many popular discussion topics banned outright, I think that's something most are prepared to accept. Nobody likes being shut down, but there are evidently reasons why you wanted to post here, and those qualities are the product of the system that is in place.
