Lol nothing new. In my country if you want to marry Christian then you must convert or join Catholics.
Catholics are Christian.
And it very much depends on the country. In most countries you can marry a Christian without converting, especially if you get married in a civil ceremony. If you get married in a church, it depends on the section of Christianity your fiance is a part of.
If you don't do this then aleast you unborn children must became Christian.
Churches can't enforce that. If you say "sure, I'll raise my children Christian" they'll take your word for it.
And i don't know how about you but if someone say to me is my child need to do religious rite to purification some bullshit sins or will go to hell then they should get fck of my face real quick or i will beat shit out of them.
You'd beat the shit out of your fiance or wife?
P/s. Communist not hate religious, they just keep religious in check so some crusader or Spanish Inquisition nonsense will not happen again.
Curious. Where I live there's no state-control of religion and yet I can't see any witch-trials.
Only religion can make good people do bad things.
Then I'm not sure why bad things happened in secular Communist China, especially during the Cultural Revolution. Maybe all those Red Guards were bad people from the start?
Those susceptible to religious indoctrination are also susceptible to other kinds of indoctrination and are more easily manipulated.
That's not how the brain works. Lots of secular people who never have any interest in religion are easily influenced or become addicted to gambling, drugs, etc.
It is no accident that the Americans wanted to install and prop-up a unpopular and brutal Christian regime in Vietnam.
US support for the South Vietnamese had nothing to do with religion and was purely a geopolitical decision. Also, you're rather forgetting that the (one would assume secular) North Vietnamese were no better than their neighbours and committed plenty of atrocities.
