Hong-Kong Protests

When it comes down to it, this isn't about facts for you; it's all about what you can and cannot imagine, which is about right for people who don't understand China except to fear and hate it like MSM sheep.

Exactly. You just need to look at the way he selectively chooses articles that fit his world view. For people like him, facts don't matter, only what he believes to be true.

The good news is, the views of people like him are becoming ever more irrelevant these days. Just as the Soviet Union, in its end days, could no longer keep up its propaganda, the American narrative is becoming ever more frayed. You cannot keep telling people blatant lies that contradict what they see with their own eyes, and expect them to keep believing you.

Obviously, the US government does care about China fanning the flame in the US ...........

I have no problem with the US government's concern, except the hypocrisy of doing it oneself but would not tolerate others for doing the same. This is what turned off most of the forumers in this thread.

I seriously doubt China needs or wants to do anything to destabilize American society.

It's no different from the go-to excuse of accusing people of being communists or terrorists to shut up people from having a position accusers can't defend themselves from. They can't disparage African-Americans so the next thing they got to is saying they're being tricked by China into rioting. Like farmers if they complain about Trump's trade war hurting them, they're not patriotic. Patriotic famers take it and won't complain. Or they want grandmothers to die for the economy because of the coronavirus shutting down the economy. Here it's African-Americans are helping China in working to hurt the US if they riot. I'm seeing reporters on CNN at scenes of riots mentioning foreign influence because they're trying to spread this message too because they're in a bind where they don't want to see exercising democracy like how they call it in Hong Kong or they look like they're suppressing democracy. It's all very manipulative.

Still remember US Consulate official in Hong Kong photographed meeting with the Hong Kong protest leaders last year during the riot ? Imagine what will the US politicians and American people think if Chinese Consulate or Embassy official meets with the Black Lives Matter movement leaders now. Respect of other country's sovereignty goes both way.

Institution of national security law in Hong Kong will stop this hostile act by the US government, just like the US national security act already in place will discourage Chinese officials from doing so.

Of course I wake up in the morning and Republicans are blaming China because the foreign ministry sent a tweet on the State Department's twitter account not saying nice things about the US... They also mentioned random African country Zimbabwe was behind it but not Russia of course.
what....link please.

I'd like to imagine a Chinese police chief or HK superintendent doing the same thing in public when there was civil unrest as this US Sheriff did, but it would be so fantastical I can't do it. I could just about imagine it if they were speaking to some Triad goons about to attack random civilians.

No, but you support the authorities kicking the crap out of people you don't like in Hong Kong. That's not much different.

You really don't understand what is going on. Or intentionally spinning the facts with simply false statements.

In HK, some people are trying to separate a Chinese city from China. And these people are carrying past colonial powers' flags and asking their support. This is the definition of treason. On anywhere on Earth.

To help you to understand, imagine Americans in Texas draped in Mexican flag asking for Texas to return to Mexico but even worse since Texas was actually part of 1st Mexican Republic but HK was only invaded by England for a while to sell opium to Chinese! It was a base for drug trade! You cannot make this $HiT up.

Shocking moment Los Angeles police open fire on unarmed protesters

After protesters began chanting "f*ck 12," this is the shocking moment Los Angeles police began opening fire on peaceful protesters on the corner of Fairfax and Oakwood Avenue on Saturday evening (May 30).

"F*ck 12," a phrase popularized by rappers to speak against police behavior, has become commonplace during the protests against the police killing of George Floyd.

People trying to defend American police behavior/human rights be like:
