What a welcome news. I applaud the neocon bitch Liz Truss for this decision. A relic of British imperialism (180 long years). British judges in HK. I only discovered this fact two years ago. Back to London, pronto.

I wonder what would be the likelihood of appointing HK's new CEO that's from China?
Not going to happen. Not worth the trouble. Western powers would have excuse to sanction HK and even China. Besides, they just need to find someone that isn't afraid of those tycoons and Western powers. Hong Kong is fairly easy to govern due to NSL but you need to have the will to make tough decisions like providing more public housing and find land to do it.

How come Tung Che Hua could be considered a failure?

The sun already sets on the British Empire. Go home and stay at home, FM Liz Truss.

That's what I hate about Beijing. It should be celebrated that these UK judges are leaving and yet they have to release a statement saying how they're disappointed. I would like it if was sarcasm but then Beijing is not known for that.

No need for Beijing to used sarcasm on these dimwitted arrogant Brits. They smartly trust the 1.4 billion proud Chinese citizens voices to do all the trash talking and spreading the messages to the rest of the world about the Anglo colonial disease that hides behind freedom, democracy and human rights.

The problem is it perpetuates to the British that they're important. They could've just said nothing. It's best for the world to for them to have low-esteem so they don't act arrogantly to the world.
